Tenderly, gently, cradled;
Angel kisses on his lips.
Miracle, such tiny features,
From love, he is.
Innocence, handle softly;
Lovingly teach and hold.
Deserves your love and patience,
Valued beyond gold.
Pawn of forces, torn;
Object only for pain.
One has him, and must not.
Vicious anger, insane.
Angels carry heavenward;
Tortured pain now over.
Hate destroys, no tender touch.
Life cut short; now, no more.
By Janet Graham, in memory of Ethan Stacy, whose life ended tragically
at the age of 4.
